As the Senior Industry Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and supporting the Life Sciences market by representing SAS’ vision, capabilities, solutions and direction for the application of Advanced Analytics in Life Sciences. You will work with market representatives, partners, customers and prospects to understand their strategic and operational needs and define, develop and deliver solutions to meet these. As part of the Global Health and Life Sciences Practice, you will serve as an industry and domain expert and participate in activities that demonstrate SAS’ experience and leadership in applying analytics solutions for Healthcare and Life Sciences organizations and customers (e.g. author publications, speak at industry events, participate in industry associations and standards groups).
You will need to have a strong understanding of analytics and a demonstrated ability to detect and understand customer's business needs; articulate the value of our solutions and offerings; and identify how SAS’ Life Sciences offerings and capabilities can be integrated into existing business processes and infrastructure. Understanding of the life sciences (and healthcare) industry business processes and experience dealing with patient data (systems validation, data privacy, regulations) is a must.
As the successful candidate you will have a Data Scientist / Data Analysis background with experience within the Life Sciences industry. You may already be working in a consulting firm, or may be looking to move into a more consultative / commercially focused position. Either way, you will be comfortable in front of clients presenting ideas, and be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills with an advanced understanding of decision support and operational software systems used in the HLS market. Excellent inter-personal and communications skills are a necessity; the ability to present effectively to a variety of audiences and to be creative in developing the material for presenting is also important.
Reporting into the US, this role will be based from your choice of SAS office in France, Germany, Switzerland, UK, or the Nordics, with travel across the EMEA region as required. We have a modern working environment with superb facilities designed to promote wellbeing, creativity and collaboration.
