The Dutch SAS office in Huizen is looking for a Country Marketing lead for the Netherlands to also be the leader of Content and Communication for South West Europe. The Content Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing content and awareness strategy in order to support brand recognition and sales promotion for South West Europe. As a Country Marketing Lead you are responsible for designing and implementing the marketing plan for the Netherlands by leveraging and amplifying EMEA Marketing programs. You are responsible for managing a team of 5 to 6 people and will be also part of the South West Europe Marketing Management team.
This position is part of our Global Marketing and Shared Services organization at SAS, where EMEA is one of the main geography and South West Europe accounts for 25% of total EMEA software revenue. Our marketing mission is to support revenue growth and increase market presence and perception. As a Content & Communication Lead for South West Europe:
Leads and manages a campaign-focused content and communication strategy that supports business objectives and is crafted to deliver a high-quality prospect and customer experience, honing methods that work for the brand/product.
Actively seeks knowledge in topic trends, developments and terminology to get an outside-in view.
Evaluates existing assets according to agreed-upon content criteria to propose whether they need to be retired, repurposed or revamped for continued use.
Builds gap analysis and content plan for creation/commissioning of new content to fill gaps along the customer journey.
Integrates content plan with Blog, Video, Advertising, Search, Social, Content Syndication, 3rd party Community and Sponsorship, Ecommerce, etc. strategies.
Curates content to develop new assets from existing (info graphics, eBooks, blogs, etc.) using internal resources or third party creative vendors.
Researches and recommends new and innovative types of content to develop and map to the appropriate channels.
As a Marketing Lead for the Netherlands:
Analyses the market, market potential and the position of SAS.
Responsible for gathering marketing intelligence and coordinating this with sales functions on local and regional level by focus area in order to define the regional marketing strategy by focus area.
Design and update marketing country strategy.
Propose and monitors programs and campaigns budget within guidelines. Works to minimize costs and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Analyzes results from reports in the supporting systems and takes action for improvements.
Communicates about plans and results in an effective and consistent way to all stakeholders involved.
Provides recommendations to resolve complex business problems.
Act as a transformation leader in both roles.
Collaborate with both Marketing peers and country executive management team.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of content marketing concepts and communication, PR technics and processes.
5-10 years marketing experience.
Strong leadership skills and worked more than two years in a management role.
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and creative problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently but also manage a (virtual) team.
Considerable understanding and use of major business software applications (Microsoft).
Strong knowledge of inbound marketing, demand generation and lead management.
Good understanding of Digital Marketing, (SEO, Blogs, Social Media etc.)
