We are currently seeking a Finance Operations Manager to join out UK&I finance team based at our regional HQ in Marlow. Managing a team of 6, you will provide finance operations services and controls for UK and Ireland and their management, customers, suppliers and the wider stakeholder base.
Working as part of a strong & established Finance team, your key responsibilities will include:
Finance Operations Services: to be responsible for the day to day delivery of Finance Operations services for UK&I, to include purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, payroll, expenses, bank & cash, inter-company processing, and general ledger processing.
Operational Services & Controls: Executing the Finance Success Model, focussing on insight, engagement, control and customer focus; delivered with focus, pace, quality and execution. To include developing the range and quality of existing services, establishing and reporting against agreed service levels, and driving continual business process improvement.
Month End Close: Supervise and support the timely and effective closure of all ledgers and month end processes; control, review and adjustment activities for all monthly cost closure and reporting; completion of all key allocated balance sheet reconciliations; continuous improvement of processes.
Team Management: Effectively manage the development, support, and motivation of the team to ensure they are fully enabled to successfully deliver their operational and development goals; support in the establishment and delivery of those goals, and promote optimal efficiency and flexibility across the team through effective cover.
Statutory Reporting & Audits: Work collaboratively with Financial Accounting to complete internal and external audits with the provision of financial information and insight to ensure successful completion of interim and year-end audits.
Tax: Provide employee taxation accounting services, including all tax returns and Income Tax, PAYE and VAT payments, and ensure all Government tax audits and information requests and discharged effectively.
Global Systems Projects: Support the planning, implementation and testing of global systems projects, such as Global Fusion, ADP Payroll Aggregator, Global IDB, etc.
As the successful candidate, you will be an experienced manager, having previously led finance operations teams of 5 or more within a large organisation (annual revenue £100m+). You will have strong attention to detail and be effective at managing workload, with a proven track record of driving process improvements. Good systems experience would be highly desirable (such as Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle). Ideally you would be a qualified accountant, or at least QBE.
