ANZ (Senior) Customer Advisory Consultant – Advanced Analytics / Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning

SAS is embarking on hiring a new generation of Customer Advisory people locally and globally. This new generation are not the traditional SAS mould - but change agents, leaders and advisors to take SAS’ next generation platform Viya and AI applications to new and existing customers. Our customers are asking us to lead and advise - way beyond to traditional role of a software vendor.
With both technologies and application suites in areas such a fraud, risk, marketing and IOT - SAS has grown every year since it began. You probably have a preconception of SAS which we would like to challenge.
SAS’ new Viya platform expands on SAS’ market leading capability to add capabilities such as AI and Machine Learning – but also embraces open source and a new, open micro-services, cloud-first architecture. A number of leading Australian organisations have already adopted Viya and demand is growing.
SAS is now looking for a (Senior) Customer Advisory Consultant to provide leadership and domain expertise to influence new customer engagements in Queensland. To be effective in this role, you will already have a demonstrated credibility and experience in areas such as classic statistical modelling, machine learning, natural language processes, deep learning and forecasting.
The Customer Advisory Team is typically the first team on the ground to support the sales team.
You don’t have to know SAS – in fact, an open mind and an “open source” skills set is beneficial for SAS’ new platforms. SAS is also a great investor in people, so we ensure you get the best training to fill any gaps in knowledge you have.
You will be expected to participate and/or lead customer engagements with both business and IT, relate AI / Advanced Analytics concepts to customers and fit SAS’ end-to-end capabilities to within the customer’s current ecosystem. SAS has technical architects who can help with the plumbing and infrastructure.
