    Principal/Senior Insurance Risk Consultant / Actuary - IFRS 17

    SAS are looking for an Insurance Subject Matter Expert and Senior Consultant to join the UKI Consulting division. As a Senior Insurance Consultant, you will provide customer facing implementation services to new and existing SAS customers, participating and leading design and implementation of our Insurance Risk Solutions, as well as working closely with internal groups such as sales and product management.

    As the Insurance SME, you will provide implementation services for the SAS Insurance Risk Management portfolio focused on IFRS17, Solvency II, Underwriting Risk Management, Pricing and Governance and Compliance.  You will also be responsible for defining and building out services delivery models (align to the SAS solutions) and assisting sales teams with sales activities by providing industry/business domain expertise. You will quickly come up to speed on new technologies and stay abreast as to recent trends in Insurance Governance, Risk and Regulatory Compliance space.


    Your responsibilities will also include:


    • Involvement in various phases of the implementation lifecycle including requirements, architecture/design, development, testing and/or training
    • Evaluating customer requirements and compiling design documentation as well as architecting solutions to ensure successful customer implementations
    • Facilitating workshops to gather requirements and assess gaps in requirements or level of detail required to properly scope and plan implementations
    • Assisting in scoping and defining work efforts, resource plans, and estimating cost on phases/projects
    • Preparing and presenting materials for site visits, project work, and training services.
    • Implementing prototypes/demos for use in sales situations and site visits
    • Developing and maintaining internal applications, intellectual property and tools

    As the successful candidate you will be highly experience in the insurance arena and Actuarial Modelling. You may be working as an Actuary currently or have already moved from an Actuary position into consulting,  and looking for your next step.  Alternatively, you will come from a Financial Accounting or Regulatory Reporting background, and be seeking a move into the world of consulting.  Either way, you will have a broad and strong technical background and will excel at solving business problems by applying technology. Any previous experience with SAS technologies would be desirable but not essential. 

    This role can be based from most locations across the UK, and will involve around 50% travel to clients sites.
