Based in France and being part of the Western Europe Pre-Sales organization, you will play a key role in delivering pre-sales and technical expertise for SAS analytics platform into the broader architecture and strategy of the customer. You will support the sales force throughout the different stages of the sales cycle with your excellent abilities in understanding the needs of the customer and translating them into a SAS solution with the required added value for the customer. This is only possible because you combine business knowledge with a technical expertise in your domain.

 

This role involves understanding the entire SAS portfolio of technology, with emphasis on SAS Viya, and its integration and installation methods, alongside other technologies. You will need a solid understanding of data architecture concepts and thorough experience in creating secure cloud architecture for enterprise applications.

 

We seek applications from individuals who have demonstrated the ability to bridge the gap between the business and technology, relating business requirements to technical capabilities and solutions to business value, in the space of Data or Advanced Analytics.


Your major responsibilities :

  • Act as the pre-sales driver for SAS Analytics solutions.
  • Support the sales force in translating the needs of the customer into working SAS solutions by elaborating business cases.
  • Able to understand the language of the customer and to translate this in a compelling value proposition for the customer.
  • Work with other teams to ensure the successful outcome of trials, evaluations, proofs-of-concept and any technical aspects of the pre-sales process
  • Advise on the design and the implementation of advanced, technology-driven solutions
  • Prepare, run, give demo’s and speak at industry events using your business and technical expertise
  • Contribute to and manage the technical elements of RFI/RFP/Tender completion and submission

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Bilingual English and French is mandatory to be considered for the role.
  • Education: Master degree or equivalent
  • Significant experience in presales, sales or business consulting, Previous work experience of 3 years in a similar role
  • Experience with one or more major cloud environments such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Solid understanding of Function-as-a-Service (serverless architecture).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Programming skills with one or more modern languages (scripted or compiled) – e.g. KSH, Python, Perl, C, C++, Java, JavaScript
  • Willing to acquire the technical knowledge of core SAS technology
  • Highly commercial attitude, active listener
