Job Description

 

  • Be a member of the Global SAS R&D team focused on the development of SAS Risk Modeling and Decisioning as a part of Risk Research and Quantitative Solutions (RQS) initiatives
  • Collaborate with RQS Product Management, Solution Architect, UI specialists and SAS experts, using programming languages such as Java and Go and SAS platform and tools
  • Leverage detailed knowledge of technology and RQS products to provide technical support to the field consultants and customers
  • Keep up-to-date on latest technology trends, its impact on product design, technology trends, agile processes with a focus on CI/CD practices
  • Analyze impact of market requirements on the product, contribute to acceptance criteria driven development approach
  • Identify task breakdown, effort estimates and schedules for product changes
  • Contribute to the design, development, unit testing, integration testing and documentation of product features in compliance with SAS R&D standards and guidelines
  • Contribute to new initiatives, process improvements, or technology enhancements
  • Conduct research to build SAS Intellectual Property in the space of Risk Modeling leading to patentable work, research papers, articles.
  • Carry out all assignments with minimum supervision

Requirement

 

Technology:

 

4-8 years of experience in design and development of Microservices, REST APIs and WebApp Frameworks like Springboot

 

Technology:

  • Exposure to design and development of Microservices, REST APIs
  • Expertise in design and programming skills in Java or Golang using IDE
  • Strong OOPS/OOAD concepts
  • Exposure to implementing design patterns
  • Exposure to Springboot, Hibernate, JPA
  • Exposure to Windows and Linux OS to accomplish necessary tasks

 

Software Engineering:

  • Understanding of Agile practices (daily scrum, iteration planning, retrospective, test driven development, CI/CD)
  • Aptitude for professional software development as demonstrated by programming experience
  • Exposure to Continuous Integration toolkit – Jenkins, scripting languages, Ansible or equivalent

 

Behavioral:

  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Actively seeks to update own knowledge base and apply new concepts to a wide range of issues in creative ways
  • Ability to evaluate options, present the recommendations, seeks feedback actively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to help achieve goals, with minimal supervision
  • Works on complex problems of diverse scope demonstrating analysis, evaluation, good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
