The GCS team is now looking to recruit an Email Content Developer to act as a key member of the team for the provision of value realization services to SaaS customers.

 

 

Overview of Role


SaaS is a rapidly growing delivery model for SAS software.  As a support team for all customers using SaaS products, GCS is scaling to ensure customers are well managed.

 

The Email Content Developer will support some of SAS’ largest clients, providing specialized Email design and development expertise for clients using the Customer Intelligence 360 Engage Email product. In this position, the individual will work within the Global Customer Success team, assisting customers worldwide across a wide range of Email channel needs, ranging from Email template design (using HTML/CSS or drag and drop capability), HTML technical troubleshooting, quality assurance, functional mentoring, and Email channel process / operational support. 

 

Working in collaboration with pre-sales, professional services, project management and engineering, the successful candidate will need to rapidly engage with both internal and external staff, adopting correct organization/cultural manner to build effective relationships and gain trust.  

  

 

Key responsibilities

  • Be a specialist in Email content development using raw HTML / CSS code.  Stay aware regarding best practice coding standards for Email.
  • Be familiar with quality standards – including use of Litmus / Email on Acid to ensure quality rendering across all devices and clients.
  • Keep abreast of Email marketing industry best practices and proactively apply knowledge.
  • Investigate and review topics affecting Digital Marketing, especially topics affecting data and the Email channel (i.e. Apple privacy for open rate reporting, support for AMP etc).
  • Understand typical data management practices for the Email channel.
  • Develop expert level knowledge of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 capabilities for Email.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the team, including Customer Success Manager (CSM) staff and the GCS Email Deliverability Experts, to meet customer needs.
  • Work in concert with each CSM to understand a customer’s needs and, if required, position Email design and development skills from SAS, to ensure the right expert support.
  • As part of Email design and development services, be ready to:
    • from corporate comms guidelines, and key assets (copy, images, links), or
    • from a rough/scamp design, or
    • from finished, but uncoded design, or
    • from migrated HTML/CSS (transferred from alternate solution)
    • design and develop Email content from differing levels:
    • use HTML/CSS directly, or use drag and drop capability, or a mix of both
    • provide functional coaching / training to customer staff
    • review Email channel performance, providing best practice for measurement and optimization of channel results
    • assist customers in development of additional use cases
    • perform other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements

  • The right candidate will have a background in design and digital marketing with 5+ years of relevant experience / knowledge in the following areas:
    • Deep rooted domain expertise in HTML and CSS for Email
    • Expertise in using design solutions (Affinity, Illustrator or other) to manage assets, and prepare additional assets, as required, to finalize content design
    • Front line service orientation with professional manner and tone
    • Awareness of Campaign planning, execution, segmentation and targeting techniques
    • Familiarity with the major ESPs and ISPs
    • A proven track record of success working in a digital marketing team – such as inhouse studio or agency-side marketing
