What you’ll do


You are an experienced business development and meeting generation specialist. You are comfortable networking around an organisation, generating meetings with Senior and Executive level contacts, be that customers, prospects or SAS Partners. You are positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated as well as a great team player.


This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a successful Sales / Marketing division and high performing and well-respected Business Development team.


You are comfortable in the execution of strategic sales and marketing activities involving prospective and/or current customers with a focus on prospect pipeline development in support of new business acquisition. You will build targeting plans with your Sales & Marketing teams and execute independently, pulling in experts to support with messaging, proposition understanding and target account knowledge to craft your responses.

You will

  • Discover and qualify potential sales opportunities.
  • Manage responses from marketing campaigns and online channels.
  • Manage post-event follow-up with attendees and registrants, prospect list development, prospecting and appointment-setting campaigns.
  • Provide call execution for sales programs and marketing lead generation campaigns and tracks results
  • Effectively initiate communication via the phone, email and social channels to the highest level of management.
  • Utilise best practice selling concepts and techniques.
  • Provide product and solution information to prospective and current customers, keep up-to-date on knowledge of the industry, as well as competitive posture of the company.
  • Enter prospect and lead information into database and reporting systems in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing staff to ensure that a consistent message is communicated to our customers and/or business partners.

  • Experience of lead qualification, prospecting, sales and solution selling techniques.
  • Knowledge of phone, email and social selling techniques needed to identify the person in a company responsible for a specific initiative or business unit.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task among multiple systems and applications.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to execute campaigns and job responsibilities in a specific timeline.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high- volume team environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage high-volume workload to exceed individual and team goals and objectives.

  • Effectively initiates communication via phone, email and social channels, to the highest level of management, including C- level.
  • May assist in nurturing leads beyond initial qualification.
  • Provides feedback on marketing campaigns based on information gathered and may make recommendations to help shape campaigns.
  • Assumes lead role in training and assisting peers.
  • Sets best practice example of how to work effectively in a Business Development role
  • Identifies and proposes business process improvements to management, and assists with driving implementation of new processes.
