What you’ll do

SAS is searching for a sr technical cloud consultant to set up and implement SAS Analytics Platform for our customers located in Saudi Arabia. SAS Analytics plaftorm incorporates various tools for data analyses (opensource or proprietary) with an engine to execute them, a database management system to keep and manage them for ongoing use, and mechanisms for acquiring and preparing data that is not already stored. If you enjoy direct contact with external customer, helping with architecture definition, installation, administration and maintenance of analytics platform solutions in various shapes and forms, this might be your next career opportunity.

You will:

• Define architecture and technical requirements of the SAS products before installing the SAS platform.
• Provide installation/administration and maintenance services for a SAS platform in a Project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support to Implementation Engineers during a Project lifecycle for issues related with SAS platform
• Provide technical consulting services to customers such as upgrading or administration for their current SAS platform
• Deliver SAS Infrastructure related trainings such as  Platform Administration or Platform Installation
• Learn new SAS technologies related with SAS platforms and architectures and being a pioneer for the market

What we’re looking for

• Solid amount (preferrably 5+ years) of hands-on experience with installation/implementation of platform solutions (or related – with equal technical complexity)
• A good team-player who is self-motivated, result-oriented, hardworking and able to work under pressure with collaborative communication skills
• Proactive and adaptive to changing circumstances
• Previous experience with customer-facing role
• Willing to learn new technology
• Analytical problem-solver
• Trouble-shooter
• Attentive to details
• Fluent in English and Arabic

Here is a list of hands-on experience with technology we believe will help you get familiar with SAS environment quickly. These are “soft” requirement which means we will happily review your profile even though you may not have some/have other technical skills than the below-mentioned ones:

• Knowledge of Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSql) and SQL language
• Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (preferably Azure)
• Knowledge of Container Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc)
• Knowledge of Programming Languages -  preferably R, Python
• Knowledge of Operating Systems especially Unix
• Knowledge of Ansible
• Knowledge of LDAP
• Basic Knowledge of Web Technologies and Applications Servers
• SAS knowledge or certification is a plus
