What you’ll do


With the support of the world leader in AI and Advanced Analytics, you will become a trusted advisor to our client, HSBC understanding their challenges and helping them on their journey to become a truly advanced digital organisation. 


In your engagement with these clients, you will have no shortage of opportunities to engage with them and you will be supported all the way by an experienced and functionally diverse team including: technical customer advisory, consulting and education, customer loyalty, data-science and commercial and legal teams. Moreover, given the strategic importance of these clients to our business here in the UK, you will work closely with our senior leadership team in delivering peerless outcomes.


You will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of  the customer, their strategies and their business goals with a view to become a knowledgeable advocate
  • Consult with your client to identify relevant opportunities to advance their progress towards key outcomes
  • Work closely with your client and partners to develop a clear business case for the work we are doing together incorporating business value statements
  • Develop a three-year account strategy and plan in collaboration with your extended SAS team, the partner community and with key client stakeholders
  • Work closely with pre-sales and cloud specialist resources to support your customers on-going migration to the cloud
  • Manage existing annual recurring revenues and develop new revenue opportunities across software, consulting, services, cloud and education offerings to deliver strong year on year revenue growth
  • Contribute to Northern European Banking Sector go-to-market strategy using your sector and client knowledge and experience

What we’re looking for:

  • Five year plus understanding of the UK and or Global Banking sector gained in an enterprise IT solutions role. International experience is desired.
  • Track record of serial success in your role – achieving budgets and securing strong year on year growth
  • Comfortable in dealing with very large, enterprise software and services solutions sales with a multi-year, multi-million pound contract values
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to build complex yet compelling commercial offerings for this customer
  • Ability to engage both the business and technology communities across the client’s organisation up to CxO level
  • Experience of leading internal teams across marketing, sales, advisory delivery and partner organisations to deliver a range of solutions
  • Experience of our core solution areas including business applications, data management, AI, ML, advanced analytics, analytical visualisation and Cloud
  • Ability to develop clear long-term account plans and strategies that inform and lead the wider SAS teams both to deliver value to our customer and to ensure your resources are used in the most efficient manner

  • Have strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Be willing and able to travel.
  • Strong partnering and sales methodologies and techniques.
  • Understand buying influences and cycles of client outcomes (software, services and hosting)
  • Work well on your initiative and as part of a team.
  • Accurately evaluate a territory and develop a strong business and sales plan.
  • Connect business concepts to SAS’ portfolio and customer needs.
