Position: Cloud Alliance Manager

 

Summary:

Microsoft and SAS announced an extensive technology and Go-To-Market strategic partnership. The two companies will enable customers to easily run their SAS workloads in Cloud, expanding their business solutions and unlocking critical value from their digital transformation initiatives. 

 

To support this strategic partnership, we are hiring a dedicated Alliance lead in charge of Microsoft Japan to engage various sales teams within Microsoft and its partner ecosystem to deliver success in our joint customers. While this role will focus on Japan which is one of the largest markets for us and Azure GTM, there is need drive global programs and share with best practices across globe.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on the Microsoft relationship and partnership.
  • Identify new strategic alliance initiatives.
  • Influence coordination of global initiatives.
  • Support the sales organization in the field through mindshare and by introducing opportunities.
  • Define business/market requirements for Alliance initiatives.
  • Analyze partner proposals to determine appropriateness and fit with SAS products and strategy.
  • Act as strategic relationship point of contact for one or more Alliance partners.
  • Set up routine cross company debriefing issues on Alliance activities.
  • Report to Microsoft Alliance lead in EME-AP region.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic understanding of Cloud technology.
  • Experience with Cloud partner ecosystem.
  • Experience of working at/with Microsoft is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of managing complex business partner and customer interactions on a strategic basis.
  • Ability to engage and manage executive level issues.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Experience in business development, strategic alliances, sales or a related field.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Global/regional business perspective.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams.
