What you’ll do

We’re looking for an Insurance Risk Solution Advisor for Latin America to guide all insurance risk related projects. From consultants and partners enablement to project implementation and customer satisfaction

 

You will:

  • Help to adapt our global Insurance Risk solutions strategy to the Latin America market.
  • Support our implementation teams on project deliveries by guiding the project manager on best practices and executing quality assurance activities
  • Troubeshoot and expedite the resolution of challenges faced by the project teams
  • Enable our presales, implementation consultants and partners on our Insurance Risk Solutions
  • Feedback inputs from our Customers into our Solution functionality roadmap
  • Forge trusted advisor relationship with SAS colleagues concerning these solutions

 

What we’re looking for

  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
  • You should have 5 years of experience in insurance companies, insurance software development and/or auditing/consulting companies. Your past expertise will help you to connect with our customer business challenges. And we hope that you will be able to learn even more with us.
  • You are fluent in English. Did we mention that you will be reporting directly to a foreign boss?
  • You have availability to travel (15%) across LATAM and to the USA as needed. Most of your interaction will be remote, but nothing beats direct interaction to solve a critical challenge.
  • Programming skills. You will have to help your colleagues to troubleshoot the solutions. So, programming or the willingness to learn technological skills are required
  •  

 

The nice to haves

  • If you already speak both Portuguese and Spanish, it would be great. If not, no problem, we expect you to learn Portuguese and Spanish within one year.
  • A Master’s degree in Statistics or Actuary Science or Published articles would help you to stablish an industry recognition as a thought leader
  • SAS Programming skills. You will have the opportunity to learn SAS programming, but if you already know, it is a plus.
  • You do not have to necessarily be an actuarial modeler. But having some degree of experience with the actuarial modeling and/or reserving processes (better yet if you have used Machine Learning), regulatory reporting (Ex.Solvency 2) and financial reporting processes (Ex. IFRS17) will give you an edge in connecting with our customer business challenges

 

Other knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Strong negotiation skills to interact with the different countries and departments
  • Ability to balance the needs from multiple internal customers
