What you’ll do

We’re looking for an experienced Implementation Project Manager to join SAS’ Consulting team in DACH for Analytics Platform delivery.

You will play a vital role in the successful implementation of SAS analytical projects, providing consulting services, including systems / cloud engineering, application development and closeout at customer sites and assist sales teams with sales activities. These services will span the whole project lifecycle, consist of business and technical consulting to maximize our customers’ invest in SAS software.

Working as part of the Analytics Platform delivery team in DACH will present you with the opportunity to drive change, deliver strategic value and broaden your knowledge with analytics. You will work with market leading solutions for digitalization and a variety of top ranked customers on all industries.


Your tasks and responsibilities in detail …

  • Manages SAS Software implementation projects throughout the project life cycle.
  • Assumes fiscal responsibility for the projects, including managing budget, expense management, timely invoicing, receivables tracking and monitoring /managing subcontractor expenses.
  • Assists in the response to RFIs and RFPs, utilizing the RFP Repository and coordinating the consulting resources that are providing the technical information.
  • Prepares sample or high-level project plans to satisfy customer requirements to close deals, identify potential implementation options and provide recommendations on implementation approaches.
  • Maintains an accurate project plan, adheres to deadlines and communicates weekly project status reports, issues, alerts, signoffs and closure to the team, management and the customer.
  • Forecasts revenue and resource requirements for the duration of the project.
  • Builds relationships with clients that characterize partnership, cooperation and trust.
  • Provides leadership and drives customer success while overcoming barriers and satisfying staff, management and stakeholder commitments.

What we’re looking for

  • Master’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Mathematics/Physics, or Computer Science.
  • Extensive project management experience of managing software implementation projects with corresponding knowledge of project management procedures and tools.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, including workshop moderation, meeting content/agenda and proactive/creative management of issues.
  • Thorough domain and industry expertise (financial industry’s' business process knowledge preferred) as well as an understanding of SAS internal processes and organisation.
  • Fluent German language proficiency.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.

  • This role is based anywhere from Germany or Austria. Travelling frequently to the clients will be required once the Covid pandemic is over.
