The Risk & Financial Advisory group within the SAS Risk Research and Quantitative Solutions (RQS) organization is dedicated to providing advisory on solutions and consulting services in the areas of Risk Management mainly in Financial Services


What you’ll do

As Solution Advisor in the Risk and Finance Advisory team you will assist SAS and its customers to shape the best solution for their Risk and Financial Management needs. This includes to advise during implementation, service estimates, product content creation, to engage with customers during sales processes, support on proof of concept efforts, perform implementation training and in general enable SAS consultants and partners globally.


You will:

  • Strategizing with sales team and partners on objectives for customer engagements, understanding how this activity relates to overall sales plans and providing functional solution leadership for sales opportunities
  • Create relationships with SAS customers as a trusted advisor and partner
  • Lead functional assessments to understand solution requirements for risk and finance frameworks and solutions
  • Collect, consolidate and provide actionable, field specific feedback to evolve solutions in-line with market needs
  • Demonstrate analytical leadership in delivering SAS Risk and Finance solutions to customers within an agile project delivery framework
  • Train on Solution capabilities and teach best practices on system implementation and to risk consulting teams globally
  • Interact with clients during sales processes to assess and advise on functional and operational business needs
  • Develop Proof of Concepts, Demos and other technical assets in the context of customer engagements
  • Design and technically deliver SAS Risk Solutions


What we’re looking for

  • Must be a passionately curious, dedicated life-long learner with an analytical mind, strong communication skills to convey the technical to a non-technical audience, and an accountable problem-solving disposition
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably 10 years, on leading implementation of Risk or Financial Management solutions within a financial institution or consulting firms.
  • BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or other quantitative field preferred
  • Ability to coach and mentor colleagues on risk and finance technical topics
  • Ability to travel at least 50% globally. Candidates must be located near a major airport
  • Experience with third or fourth generation computer programing language and risk modeling
