About the job

The Professional Services team in Germany is looking for a Fraud Technical Architect to play a leading role in delivering technical expertise for SAS analytics platforms and SAS Fraud investigation solutions, integrating them into the broader architecture and strategy of our Banking and Insurance customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the Fraud SAS technology portfolio, with an emphasis on SAS Viya, and its integration and installation methods, alongside other technologies.

 

As a Technical Architect, you will:

 

  • Bridge the gap between business and technology, relating business requirements to technical capabilities and translating technical jargon into client-friendly language, especially in the space of Data, Advanced Analytics, and Fraud Solutions.
  • Lead in advising our customers on how to set up processes and utilize SAS Software.
  • Prepare the client organization for the implementation phase and beyond, including partner involvement.
  • Assist in creating a culture mindful of technology and in balancing short-term and long-term strategies.
  • Work closely with our customers, colleagues from Consulting and Customer Advisory, and Partners to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and business profit.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • Significant experience in business consulting in Fraud Detection.
  • Ability to effectively articulate thoughts and translate technical jargon into client-friendly language.
  • Solid understanding of Fraud market solutions and familiarity with concepts such as Fraud Prevention, Fraud Detection, AML and Compliance.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, OpenStack, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Programming skills in one or more modern languages (scripted or compiled), e.g., KSH, Python, Perl, C, C++, Java, JavaScript.
  • Ability to work independently but also proactively with others for cross-training and knowledge transfer as part of the SAS one-team.
  • Able to work against deadlines, stress-tolerant, and flexible.
  • May travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion. Minimal travel, approximately two times per quarter.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Fluency in German and English
