About the job

As a Cloud Systems Integrator for the SAS Managed Cloud Delivery Services team in the Cloud and Information Services (CIS) division, you will pursue technical excellence and seek opportunities to improve our SAS Managed Cloud Hosted and Remote Managed Service environments. Every day will be challenging but rewarding, with opportunities to learn something new every day. 

 

You will guide and lead the team in efforts to improve quality, efficiency, and automation around service delivery tasks. A keen eye for continuous improvement and a passion to drive it in all aspects of the job is required.

 

As a SAS Cloud Platform Administrator/Systems Developer (Build Services), you will:

 

  • Be an advocate for SAS customers utilising your skills and expertise to ensure that customers realise full value from their SAS investment.
  • Collaborate with customers, analysts, developers, and implementation team members to deploy, manage, diagnose, debug, design, prototype SAS and third-party enterprise class software systems.
  • Work with global product R&D, Technical Support and CIS teams to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the team in efforts to improve quality, efficiency, and automation around service delivery tasks.
  • A keen eye for continuous improvement and a passion to drive it in all aspects of the job is required.
  • Configure, manage, monitor, and debug mid-tier software.
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain container-based applications deployed in cloud container services.
  • Contribute to overall service quality by identifying or leading efforts the reduce time, reduce toil, and/or improve the customer experience with SAS Cloud services.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical experience or equivalent including:
    • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes / CaaS
    • 1+ years of experience Enterprise Platform Support
    • 2+ years of experience in systems support, user support, customer support, consulting, or training for enterprise class software and/or hardware.
    • 2+ years of experience with UNIX or Linux supporting enterprise class applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ability to work flexible business hours as required by global customers/business needs.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders highlighting any risks or blockers with recommendations to remediate and work around identified issues.
  • Stay current on SAS offerings, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to tooling, automation, and system engineering efforts, freeing yourself and others from day-to-day toil.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAS applications
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud – COMPUTE, STORAGE, NETWORK, SECURITY
  • Know-how – Authentication techniques and their integration along with debugging
  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification
  • ITSM Technologies (JIRA, ServiceNow) awareness and usage
  • Multi-lingual proficiency (English language is required)
  • Experience with Python, Ansible, or Kubernetes 
  • Scripting experience (bash, PowerShell, etc.) 
  • Installing and using SAS software and solutions 
  • Programming in SAS 
  • Deploying and managing JavaEE web application. 
  • Java or Web development experience 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
