Job Roles Summary

  • As a Systems Developer for the Delivery Services team in SAS’s Cloud and Information Services (CIS) division, a person should be responsible for Delivery Integration Services in our hosted environments.
  • Should work collaboratively with customers, analysts, developers, and implementation team members to deliver world-class SAS service.  
  • Should leverage deep technical skillset and knowledge to provide technical leadership, guidance, and support for customer engagements through the implementation of Delivery Integration Services
  • Should partner with a SAS Cloud Customer Success Manager to work through any technical obstacles the customer may experience.
  • Should build the foundation for ongoing reliability by defining key performance metrics aligned to the customer's success criteria. Through documentation, automation, and knowledge management, you will enable global teams to respond quickly and efficiently to operational incidents.
  • Should support the team with training, expertise, mentoring, and best practices related to enterprise application technology, architecture, and support.
  • Should work with global R&D, Product, Technical Support, and CIS teams to drive customer satisfaction and ensure service quality across all our hosted and remotely managed customer environments.   

Technologies you will work with on day one:

    1. Integrated databases like Oracle, Postgres, and MSSQL
    2. Data Migration Experience
    3. Azure blob and ADLS
    4. PowerShell and Unix Shell scripting
  1. Cloud - Azure Portal
  2. SAS - Base SAS, SAS Management Console, SAS Environment Manager
    1. ITIL management software - ServiceNow, CMDB, Jira, Git

What we’re looking for / Profile Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Problem-solving skills, Quick Learner and a can-do attitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy - while maintaining a solid awareness of the ‘big picture’.
  • Ability to communicate with global peers and management in a clear, straightforward and effective way.
  • Strong analytic and deductive reasoning skills
  • Overall 13+ years of technical experience including:
    • 8+ years of experience in Data Migration, ETL Implementation, support or consulting.
    • 8+ years of experience Enterprise-class software, Databases installation and configuration.
    • 4+ years of experience with UNIX or Linux supporting SAS or Enterprise class applications.
    • 4+ Years of Experience with implementing complex architectures within Cloud and Hosting Technologies (Microsoft Azure (Preferred), AWS, etc...)

Nice to have / Preferences:

 

    1. SAS Certifications
    2. Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud – COMPUTE, STORAGE, NETWORK, SECURITY
    3. ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification
    4. Python scripting - Working knowledge of Python and Ansible for automation.
  1. Kubernetes, Docker
    1. Multi-lingual proficiency (English language is required)
    2. ETL knowledge
    3. ITSM Technologies (JIRA, ServiceNow) awareness and usage
