About the job

The Financial Management Systems Analyst in the Project Accounting Technology department will provide finance and accounting subject matter expertise with a focus on leveraging available technology to automate, enhance and optimize finance and accounting business processes and systems. In this role, you will complete system sustainment activities for the Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Cloud and Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) modules. You will ensure global processes are understood and adhered to, especially in EMEA since EMEA is the largest and newest concentration of users in the largest number of countries. And act as liaison with internal and external auditors on systems assurance portions of financial audits.

 

As a Financial Management Systems Analyst, you will:

  • Perform daily, weekly and month end close activities per the accounting schedule.
  • Provide production sustainment support and error resolution for PPM and OTL.
  • Identify the business needs of Project Accounting department and various business units to help determine solutions to business problems.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Fusion PPM and OTL, and maintain current knowledge of industry system trends and available products.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze information on processes and procedures to support continuous improvement.
  • Document and communicate business processes, systems improvements, and procedure changes in a timely and effective manner.
  • Recommend process improvement audits and/or operational reviews for management consideration.
  • Provide clear and concise communication regarding accounting and financial systems.  To include: end user documentation, contributions to policies, testing procedures and plans, project status updates, process flows and process audit statements identifying control risks.   Develop and deliver training materials and content.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing through cross-training and mentoring. 
  • Support internal and external auditors on systems assurance portions of financial audits. 
  • Work proactively and independently with minimal oversight ensuring items on which you have any part (requestor or provider) are moving forward.  Provide timely follow-up and status reporting.  Perform completed staff work and other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of study with;
  • 8 or more years corporate accounting experience with emphasis on financial or accounting systems support or business processes
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management Cloud or other ERP size Project Accounting System.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA Certification
  • Experience with SAS FM
  • Experience with SQL
