About the job

As a complete SaaS solution, SAS Customer Intelligence 360 is a multichannel marketing hub that takes marketers beyond a traditional customer data platform with market-leading advanced audience creation, targeting and activation

 

In this role, you will apply your positive attitude and front-end development talent to make an immediate impact on SAS’ user interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS technologies. You will work closely with visual designers and UX experts to match and foster design intent for products in the Customer Intelligence division. You will work on an agile team, delivering software within a continuous-release schedule. You will also make architectural and design decisions for the product’s user interface and help negotiate interfaces with the server tier.

 

Duties of this position include designing and implementing new functionality, as well as providing routine maintenance and production support. This position may entail architecting portions of the solution using the latest SAS tools and technologies. You will engage in discussions with product management regarding new business requirements and collaborate within our diverse team to produce high quality and maintainable user interfaces.

 

As a UI Developer (REACT), you will:

  • Design and develop high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to CI360 best practices and processes
  • Develop UI Front End using REST APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux, AngularJS
  • Develop multi-tenancy solutions that support multiple services and scale seamlessly
  • Work with mid-tier and server tier teams to fulfill the requirements.
  • Ensure solutions meet the highest data security guidelines and are consistent with R&D standards
  • Expand knowledge of CI360 solutions, and how Audience services support those solutions

Required qualifications

  • 5 or more years of professional experience developing enterprise web applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, Angular, etc.
  • Experience using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS to build high quality, scalable user interfaces
  • Understanding and usage of design patterns for UI and programming concepts.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, or similar cloud offerings
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications

 Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with React, JSX, Redux, and Jest
  • Experience with JavaScript ES6 and TypeScript
  • Solid understanding of JSON and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with asynchronous request handling and AJAX
  • Ability to work on a cross-functional team, including UX and Visual Design
  • Comfortable developing for multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
  • Working understanding of user interface principles
  • Knowledge of web standards, especially those relating to accessibility
  • Exposure to continuous delivery and DevOps methodologies
  • Basic understanding of SQL
  • Comfortable with version control software and/or package managers (Git/GitHub)
  • Basic familiarity with Linux-based operating systems, SSH
  • Experience with container management systems, such as Kubernetes
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI, CD) model
