The Marketing team is looking for an Communications Specialist to to enhance awareness, shape perception, and expand SAS's presence in Germany. You will develop and execute the Communications/PR plan in close collaboration with management.

While focusing on the German market, you'll contribute to the global marketing and communications organization. You will report to the Head of Communications.
As a Communications Specialist, you will:
- Regularly generating, adapting, coordinating and publishing social media content for our corporate social media channels in local language including analyzing and measuring success.
- Together with our PR agency, you will support journalists and influencers, as such handle media inquiries and press interviews with executives and experts. Moreover, preparing media interviews, coordinating appointments, preparing content and briefings will be part of your role.
- In consultation with our sales teams, you will be in direct and continuous contact with customers and independently develop customer references in text, image, video and sound.
- You are the German-speaking contact person for our global branding and your responsibilities comprise taking care of the local OneVoice rollout for a consistent messaging. You support the rollout of our Global Brand Campaign and Corporate Identity Program in local markets as well as the development of local messages, translations and transcreation of videos, website texts, OneVoice.
- You support internal communication, strengthen global messaging and advise local execs on their communication with media. You will be collaborating tightly with the Exec team regarding presentations, messaging and organization of internal events.
- You support experts and marketing in the development of a customized messaging for the German market that covers current technology topics such as Data & AI, Analytics and Risk Management.
- You are part of various cross-divisional, virtual comms teams and ensure that global strategies are successfully implemented in Germany.
- You will manage accurate budgets and project costs together with the communications manager.

Work Location: Hybrid role- presence at our Heidelberg office (area of Rheine/Neckar) required at least 2-3 days a week. Full time role.
Required qualifications
- 1-2 years of communications experience – in a tech-oriented company and/or a PR agency preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Course work in feature and/or news writing, advertising, copywriting, or related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
- You’re interested in the future of Data & AI and embrace technology (tools and topics).
- Target majors include all the marketing studies.
- Fluent in German/English.
- An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
