About the Job:

Performs strategic activities associated with the planning and implementation of marketing efforts aligned to SAS’s overall sales and marketing strategy. Works individually or with a team to project manage the plan, implementation, execution and analysis of regional, national or global events that include a combination of awareness lead generation, lead acceleration and retention marketing efforts.

 

As a Marketing Specialist, you will:

  • Create project plans focused on the implementation, execution and analysis of regional, national or global events
  • Identifiy team members that match specific agendas and services
  • Work individually or with a team to develop and execute project plans, timelines and schedules, estimated costs and manages projects to completion
  • Lead efforts to create compelling content for events including making recommendations on appropriate topics and speakers for assigned projects
  • Partner and serve as a key liaison to multiple organizations across SAS as needed to support the project being managed
  • Facilitate communication among members of the project team
  • Monitor the progress and scheduling of individual and team projects; assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned projects
  • Resolve any conflict between the project and other organizational units in a satisfactory manner, including engaging management as necessary
  • Communicate results, evaluates overall success, and return on investment

 

Required Qualifications

  • Event Management and Event Planning experience
  • Good problem-solving, organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good facilitation skills, including meeting content/agenda and proactive/creative management of issues
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent professional training
  • Good knowledge of Project Management Practice procedures and tools
