About the job

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for collaborating closely with Executive & Business Divisional leadership provide financial planning, reporting, actionable insights, analysis and strategic decision support to drive business growth and profitability. Supporting the successful implementation of associated initiatives. Ensuring the alignment and optimization of business and financial goals, strategies, plans, policies, processes and controls across the organization.

 

As a Finance Business Partner, you will:

  • Operate as a trusted advisor to, and work closely with, business executive leadership as an extended member of their leadership team.
  • Assist the development of and execution of financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Ensure ongoing awareness & alignment between all functions of the Finance division and the wider business in the design, development and operation of plans, policies, systems, processes and controls.
  • Leverage competitive information, industry trends, customer metrics and market dynamics to inform company and divisional targets, strategies and plans.
  • Manage the delivery of divisional budgets and forecasts and key performance indicators (KPI) to measure success. Monitor performance to ensure results progress to plan and to improve the ongoing accuracy of budget and forecast submissions.
  • Deliver regular financial management reporting and reviews KPIs, performance and external data to provide insights on divisional and company-wide performance and highlight trends, risks, issues and opportunities to executive leadership.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and investigations to provide actionable recommendations to improve growth, profitability, efficiency, productivity, financial control and mitigate risk.

 

Role Competencies:

  • Act as primary Finance Business Partner to Nordics EMEA Sales Global Vice President level leadership.
  • Provide independent tactical and operational analysis, insights, reporting and recommendations to business leadership.
  • Consult with Finance Business Partnering management prior to implementing solutions.
  • Participate in Finance, Finance Business Partnering and/or Cross Functional project and initiative teams.
  • May lead Finance Business Partnering program initiative teams.
  • Represent SAS externally with customers, suppliers and/or professional organizations up to senior management level.
  • Support change management efforts related to the implementation of new processes, systems or policy changes.

Required qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent in accounting or related field required. Master’s degree and/or CPA certification preferred (or internationally, a recognized accountancy qualification).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a large international publicly owned organization in a Business Partnering or Financial Planning & Analysis capacity. Technology industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Analyze—Use economic, financial, market, and industry information to identify trends, assess current business strategies and results, and/or evaluate specific business opportunities; identifies trends and anticipates their impact.
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Work is accurate, complete, and thorough. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
