Within our EMEA/ APAC-wide Internship Program CareerStart@sas we’re offering a 6-month full-time internship in our Professional Services Department as technical consultant intern in our Vienna office.

 

About the job 

The Technical Consultant has a very central role in the planning, design, installation, implementation and optimization of SAS solutions to various customers. You will be the one that sets up, configures and tweaks the software so that it runs as good as it can for the customer. 

 

As a technical intern, you might:

  • Understand, implement, and communicate best practices and industry standards with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Apply the expertise you will gain in deploying and configuring SAS technologies, solutions, and methodologies to ensure timely, professional, and high-quality project deliverables.
  • Utilize detailed technical knowledge to support sales initiatives and project implementations across various solution domains, including assisting with Proof of Concept (PoC) development and solution demonstrations.
  • Gain a conceptual understanding of client system architecture, performing administration tasks as necessary.
  • Contribute to creating comprehensive technical documentation, including requirements, design, test plans, cases, strategies, automation scripts, deployment instructions, administration protocols, and user guides.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of SAS technologies, products, and solutions by participating in ongoing training and enablement activities.

Required Qualifications 

  • You’re a student currently enrolled in the final year of a bachelors or masters degree program.
  • Target majors include all the STEM faculties, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics etc.
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal English is key.
  • You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.

Preferred Qualifications 

Basic knowledge of Python, R, SQL, SAS is preferred.  

 

CareerStart program date and location: Tentatively April 1 – September 30 (Dates can change slightly due to academic calendars.). Our role is based in SAS Vienna office in a hybrid work setting.
