About the job

The Managed Services teams is looking for a Cloud Platform Administrator to install, configure, maintain, support, and service customer SAS cloud systems & environments hosted by SAS or deployed on the customer’s premises. 

 

You will be coming into a new and biggest growth area in SAS global. You will and have the chance to help to shape how we work in region while working for a variety of customers day-to-day.

 

As a SAS Cloud Platform Admnistrator, you will:

 

  • Deliver excellent customer service using a customer first and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Provide hands-on administration, maintenance, and installation of SAS Enterprise software and solutions.
  • Provide support for global PSD/Partner delivered batch jobs and automations.
  • Manage day-to-day work through SAS Cloud ticketing systems using CIS best practices for ticket update quality and frequency.
  • Use IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management to meet and support Service Level Agreement requirements SAS Cloud customers.
  • Create and maintain service documentation including runbooks, knowledge base articles, and wiki content.
  • Configure, manage, monitor, and debug mid-tier software.
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain container-based applications deployed in cloud container services.
  • Develop tools and software to manage SAS and third-party software.
  • Diagnose, document, report, and resolve system problems.
  • Work directly with external customers and interface with other support teams and vendors.
  • Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.

 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Provides total support for a software systems.
  • Analyzes the data processing needs of users and operation personnel; proposes, designs, and implements hardware and software changes or programs to satisfy those needs 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in writing programs in more than one language required.
  • Two years of experience in end user and system administrator consulting or providing other first-level consulting required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
  • Right to work in Poland
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, utilities, services, and editors for assigned area
  • Career level of technical knowledge of the internal workings, diagnostic tools, and features of systems
  • Aptitude for visualization of solutions for problems
  • based on available documentation or runbooks
  • Ability to script or write software programs that acknowledge the peculiarities of the underlying machine architecture
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and to problem-solve
  • Ability to independently learn how to use new facilities quickly from supplied documentation
  • Understands the interdependencies between multiple systems and software within a computing infrastructure
  • Understanding of system architectures and infrastructures
