About the job
The Customer Advisory is looking for a Pre-sales Advisor to provide specialized customer advisory in the areas of fraud within key focus on Financial Services industry and German speaking countries. You will have the opportunity to work with leading industry companies to support the opportunity lifecycle. Your focus would be on building trusted relationships with key business and IT stakeholders, advising on technology and providing solution best practices in the areas of fraud and financial crime (Payments Fraud, Identity Fraud, Application Fraud, Insurance Claims Fraud, Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions Screening etc.).
As a Pre-sales Advisor, you will:
- Support the growth of SAS’s fraud & fincrime footprint in the German speaking countries
- Pro-actively drive opportunities by creating compelling visions targeted to a particular audience/opportunity through presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and RFP responses
- Strategizes with sales team on objectives of customer meetings, understand how this activity relates to overall sales plan and provides functional leadership for sales opportunities.
- Maintains and develops relevant knowledge levels of technical and industry trends in order to identify impacts and opportunities created by these trends.
- Evaluate customers’ current fraud & fincrime programs and advise on strategic roadmaps to help them leverage next generation technology
- Collaborate with a team of experts (business advisors, solution experts, architects and delivery managers) to deliver the optimal customer experience
- Maintain and expand your network within the industry by presenting at and attending leading industry conferences
- Design re-useable assets, for example strategic customer advisory materials, fraud assessments/health checks, accelerators, new offerings etc.
- Develop and implement demos or PoCs utilizing SAS software
- Participates in product, solution and/or technical training to acquire and maintain detailed level of product knowledge of core components of SAS offerings.
- Supports partner development & enablement, as well as partnered sales opportunities.
- Advance best practices & thought leadership while contributing to and participating in the global SAS Fraud community including domain expertise, competitive landscape, emerging trends, etc.
Required Qualifications
- At least eight years of experience in pre-sales business or technical functions within the technology or consulting industry in the fraud and financial crime space
Master's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or other quantitative field related to area of assignment.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
- Fraud experience gained through presales activities, sales engineering, or sales support experience; consulting on fraud implementations; or as a practitioner in fraud detection, investigation, or operations space. ACFE, ACAMS, or similar certifications are nice to have
- Demonstrated business, thought and people skills
- Client-facing experience presenting and engaging at a variety of levels within the business
- Ability to engage with a number of profiles such as sales, accounts, technical, or industry experts
- Capable of learning, explaining and/or using a variety of technologies and analytical techniques
- Industry experience in Financial Services Industry
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- English & German language proficiency is a must have

- Strong presentation skills

- Works well with and can drive opportunities towards a specific goal
- Willingness to travel throughout the German speaking countries- Germany, Austria & Switzerland to support opportunities (up to 20%)
