About the job

The Customer Intelligence team is looking for a Manager Sales in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for the Customer Intelligence revenue performance in the stated geography or territory. Manages a team of CI Sales Executives and Sales Development Reps. Accountable to New Recurring Revenues (software) encompassing Acquisition, Modernization and Expansion.

As a Manager of Customer Intelligence Sales, you will:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Account Executives, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed team revenue targets. Focus on Sales Process, Qualification techniques and Pipeline Management.
  • Represent our organization at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities, embodying our brand values and vision.
  • Leverage matrix collaboration with internal and external support functions such as Customer Success, Customer Advisory, and Professional Services to deliver seamless customer experiences and maximize outcomes.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including enterprise customers and partners.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, customer needs, and competitive movements to position SAS as the Marketing Technology provider of choice.

 Role Competencies

  • Aligning and Executing Sales Strategy - Establishing a plan to achieve the unit’s sales objectives, taking into consideration overall business and sales goals, market opportunities, past sales results, and available resources; reviewing progress and adjusting the plan as needed
  • Broadening Business Value - Exploring customers’ underlying issues and needs that suggest broader solutions; maximizing the productiveness of sales interactions by building on customer cues to gain commitment to products, services, and solutions; articulating and promoting a path forward
  • Coaching the Sales Team -Diagnosing areas for improving salespersons’ techniques; providing timely feedback, instruction, and guidance to strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas and optimize sales successes
  • Creating an Includsing Environment -Making decisions and initiating action to ensure that business unit policies and practices leverage the capabilities and insights of individuals with diverse backgrounds, cultures, styles, abilities, and motivation
  • Driving for Results - Setting high goals for personal and group accomplishment; using measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement

Work Location: Position is based in Malaysia. Must have full right to work in work location.

 

Required qualifications

  • 12 years of experience in software sales, including five years in a leadership role. Demonstrated experience in successfully achieving a sales target.
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or quantitative field.
  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, within the technology or software industry. 
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets with enterprise-level customers. 
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating diverse sales teams. 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English. Additional languages are a plus. 
  • Deep understanding of the MarTech landscape, its industries, and business culture.
