The Global Technology Practice is a global team of experts in SAS Technologies, such as Data Management, Agentic AI, Cloud and IT infrastructure architecture. We work closely with SAS Product Management on defining strategies for SAS product development. Part of our mission also is to enable field resources in the newest developments of SAS technology. So, if you like to get your hands on the latest in SAS Generative AI, SAS Agentic AI and SAS Data Management, consider joining us for an internship.

 

As an intern, you might: 

  • Support development of SAS AI agents with planning, tool-use, and RAG capabilities.
  • Write and test Python code for agent behaviors and workflows.
  • Assist with debugging, evaluation, and improvement of autonomous AI systems.
  • Research new LLM and agent frameworks and contribute ideas to the team.

 

Required Qualifications 

  • You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program.
  • Degree Type: Bachelor’s, Master’s
    • AI / Data Science
    • Information Systems
    • Applied Mathematics
    • Statistics
    • Cognitive Science
  • Basic Python skills, JavaScript/TypeScript/React
  • Familiarity with APIs and modern AI tools is a plus.
  • Interest in LLMs, agent frameworks, and autonomous systems.
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and experiment.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal. 
  • You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology. 
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

    • Exposure to Generative AI and Agentic AI frameworks
    • Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or similar tools.
    • Experience with vector databases or cloud platforms.
    • Experience with SAS and/or SAS Viya

 

Location: 

  • We operate a Hybrid model, you can work remotely up to 2 days a week assuming you have access to a suitable work environment including connectivity.
  • We do have a great offices in Madrid (Sanchinarro) where you can work from which creates an inspiring working atmosphere.
  • Your mentor and colleagues may be in different locations/countries/timezones, but local connections will be allocated to ensure local support is maintained.
