About the job

The North Americas Campaign Management Team (NACM) is seeking a dynamic contract Campaign and Events Specialist to join our Canada Marketing team. In this role, you will drive the execution of strategic project plans in collaboration with Campaign Managers. You will play a pivotal part in orchestrating impactful campaigns across in-person live events and digital marketing channels.

As a Campaign and Events Specialist, you will:

  • Own the operations and logistics of marketing activities, events and/or campaigns in accordance with SAS's sales and marketing initiatives for both internal and external clients/customers/prospects. 
  • Create and execute plans in the areas of facility/onsite support and set-up, equipment, catering, speaker care, production and distribution of materials/signage for SAS hosted and third-party events. 
  • Initiate and nurtures relationships with internal partners, stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure successful event/activity/project completion. 
  • Monitor individual project expenses to keep within budget guidelines; works to minimize costs and maximize efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Utilize and master systems that enable marketing processes and campaign implementation and support operational rigor.

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Events Marketing or similar. 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or related field.  
  • Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. 
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own areas of expertise. 
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

 

Additional competencies, knowledge and skills

  • Building Partnerships - Developing and leveraging relationships within and across work groups to achieve results. 
  • Collaborating - Working cooperatively with others to help a team or work group achieve its goals. 
  • Customer Orientation - Placing a high priority on the internal or external customer’s perspective when making decisions and taking action; implementing service practices that meet the customers’ and own organization’s needs. 
  • Understanding of B2B sales and marketing processes. 
  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and segmented account strategies. 
  • Working knowledge of basic generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude. 
  • Familiarity with social media and digital marketing platforms. 
  • Project management and meeting facilitation skills. 
  • Experience in a global organization, collaborating across cultures and time zones.
