About the job

The Global Experience team is seeking a Multilingual AI Localization Specialist to drive terminology governance, multilingual AI enablement, and MT/LLM quality across global products. This role focuses on building and governing linguistic knowledge assets, evaluating and improving AI‑driven localization workflows, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality multilingual output at scale. The specialist partners closely with Product, Documentation, Engineering, and vendors to embed multilingual AI best practices into customer‑facing experiences.

 

 

As a Multilingual AI Localization Specialist, you will:

 

Terminology & Knowledge Assets

  • Create, manage and maintain glossaries, style guides, and other linguistic and cultural assets
  • Manage terminology extraction process for Products
  • Drive a cross-functional effort to maintain central terminology database (Publications team, Marketing, Products)
  • Govern multilingual term bases as a single source of truth for AI and MT, ensure consistency between glossary and TM translations. 
  • Collaborate with multilingual vendors and in-house teams to optimize workflows, translation memory, and terminology management.

Machine Translation/AI and Model Evaluations

  • Maintain and prepare glossary assets for MT trainings and LLM RAG
  • Own MT and LLM engine selection, training, and evaluation
  • Measure MT or LLM output quality on a regular basis per locale for 20+ languages. Create and execute improvement plans when scores fall beyond a threshold.
  • Design and test various localization workflow improvements by using AI (such as APE, LQE and LQA)

LQA

  • Collect feedback from various stakeholders to establish end quality requirements.
  • Define evaluation frameworks to access both raw MT/AI and post-edited translation quality 
  • Implement evaluation framework in the TMS and monitor performance per locale
  • Fine tune QA checks in the TMS to identify relevant quality issues
  • Develop and execute improvement plans when quality standards are not met


Multilingual AI Cross‑functional Enablement

  • Align with Product, Docs, and Engineering to embed multilingual AI features into customer‑facing experiences; evangelize best practices internally.
  • Lead Multilingual AI capabilities testing and ensure it adheres to company standards and tone of voice. Provide recommendations for model improvements if needed.
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in working in a localization terminologist, machine translation and/or multilingual AI focused role, ideally in a stakeholder or client-facing environment. 
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Linguistics, Computer Science or related fields. Masters is a plus.
  • Expert on Machine Learning, LLMs, NLP, process automation and technology, out of the box thinking with data analytical skills to drive great customer experience
  • Experience with building and maintaining terminology databases
  • Experience evaluating machine translation quality using automated metrics such as edit distance, BLEU, and COMET, and interpreting results to guide MT and LLM quality decisions.
  • Experience setting up and using linguistic quality framework, managing quality control processes for linguistic outputs, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards
  • Experience using localization technology (TMS/CAT tools, machine translation, LLMs) and processes, particularly for CICD software deployment model
  • Proficiency in additional language(s).
  • Proven ability to solve complex linguistic and technical challenges, attention to detail
  • Ability to measure, analyze, and present data to stakeholders.
  • Ability to adjust working hours to accommodate a variety of time zones
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

  • Experience using project management tools (e.g. Jira) and source management systems (e.g. GitHub).
  • Programming skills are a plus (Python, SQL, mySQL).
