The Americas Commercial Pre-sales group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to help customers solve complex business challenges through data, analytics and industry solutions. You’ll lead and participate in business discoveries sessions, technical demonstrations, and pilots - partnering closely with sales and architecture teams to drive customer outcomes and business growth.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will:
- Build trusted relationships with Account Executives and customers, providing practical guidance on the functional and technical aspects of proposed solutions
- Conduct business and technical discovery meetings to identify the best-fit technical solutions
- Deliver standard, customized and strategic presentations that outline functional capabilities, competitive advantages and business benefits.
- Lead and collaborate on demos, proof-of-concepts and pilots to showcase solution capabilities and value
- Participate in technical and industry training to build and maintain expertise in SAS offerings and industry trends
- Represent the organization at vendor-sponsored events, trade shows, and user group meetings.
- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technical sales, consulting, professional services or related fields with strong programming skills (SAS, Python, SQL).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s. degree, preferably in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or another quantitative field with a strong computer science component.
- Experience with data quality, data preparation, feature engineering, databases (e.g. Oracle, Redis, MongoDB) and enterprise integration patterns
- Understanding of multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) decisioning and scoring architecture along with MLOps practices and administrative platform skills.
- Experience with APIs, Kafka, RabbitMQ, MCP, and other integration frameworks
- Experience with front and backends such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Typescript and/or Node.js
- Architecture knowledge to understand a customer’s technology ecosystem and design hybrid, end-to-end solutions with the support of the dedicated architecture team
- Ability to understand and communicate the value of analytics to support engagements alongside analytical-focused team members
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Additional competencies, knowledge and skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (Portuguese and English)
- Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
- Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to audiences with different profiles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Availability to travel as required
- Knowledge of SAS platform tools and solutions.
- Experience in the telco, retail and/or energy/utilities industries is a plus.
