About the Role

HR Operations Specialist

Northern Europe HR Operations Hub | Marlow | Hybrid

Run HR Operations today. Help us build how they work tomorrow.

SAS is changing the way HR Operations is delivered across Northern Europe, and we're looking for an experienced HR Operations professional to join us on that journey.

This is a hands-on role. You'll support the day-to-day HR Operations needs of our UK & Ireland business, ensuring employee changes, HR records, documentation and queries are handled accurately and efficiently.

But we don't just want someone to run today's processes. We're building a more consistent, technology-enabled HR Operations Hub across Northern Europe. You'll work with HR colleagues across the region to simplify processes, improve the way we use our systems, reduce unnecessary manual work and help transition appropriate HR activities into the Hub.

You don't need to have led an HR transformation before.

What matters is that you're good at HR Operations, curious about how things could work better, comfortable learning new technology and open-minded about working in an environment where processes and responsibilities are evolving.

If you've ever looked at an HR process and thought "there has to be an easier way to do this", we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

HR Operations Delivery, Data, Reporting & Operational Excellence

You will:

  • Administer all HR transactions within the global HRIS, including new hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, reorganizations, location changes, and terminations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring the highest standards of data quality, confidentiality, privacy, and compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, managers, and HR stakeholders, responding to inquiries and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Partner with internal teams across SAS to research and resolve HR-related issues.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and analytics using HR systems and reporting tools.
  • Support HR projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across the function.

Support the HR Hub Transformation

You will also

  • Work with colleagues across EMEA-AP support the design and implementation of the Northern Europe HR Operations Hub.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive and manual HR processes in partnership with HR Systems and HR Intelligence teams.
  • Standardize HR operational practices across the UK, Ireland, and Nordic countries.
  • Assist with transitioning operational activities into a centralized service delivery model where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations teams across EMEA and AP to identify and implement best practices.
  • Provide operational support during the transition period to ensure business continuity.
  • Contribute to building a sustainable, scalable, and future-ready HR Operations function aligned with SAS's broader HR transformation strategy.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys both operational delivery and improving the way things work.

You may currently be working in HR Operations, HR Administration, HR Shared Services or a similar HR support role and be looking for an opportunity to join a team undergoing exciting transformation.

Required Qualifications

Alongside delivering day-to-day HR operational services, you will play an active role in shaping the future operating model for Northern Europe, supporting the transition to a more standardised, scalable and efficient way of working.
