By joining the SAS Consulting team, you will be the face of SAS during implementation and delivery. Spend anywhere from days to years onsite with customers depending on the scale of the project. This is a hands-on technical role offering variety in both specialization and industry exposure. 


Reporting to the Consulting Operations Director, the SAS Installation and Configuration Consultant will have the following responsibilities:


• Plan and prepare for Installation and Configuration
• Installation and Configuration of SAS Software as per design
• Prepare Installation and Configuration documentation
• Conduct Installation Validation
• Provide Daily Status Updates to the I&C Manager and Project Manager
• Deliver within agreed timeframes, or manage Project Management expectations accordingly

 

Essential experience:


• Must be experienced in performing Software Installation and Configuration
• Provides answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, guiding client through corrective steps
• Improves client references by writing and maintaining documentation
• Participates in development of client training programs by identifying learning issues and recommending instructional  language
• Accommodates client disabilities by recommending devices and techniques
• Improves system performance by identifying problems; recommending changes
• Updated job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks
• Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

Preferred Experience:


• SAS v9.3 and/or 9.4 Installation & Configuration skills
• Experience using SAS v9.3 and/or 9.4
• Understanding of SAS Architecture: SAS Platform Administration & SAS Infrastructure
• Understanding process of creating SSL certificates and configuring these into software applications and Kerberos
• Understanding of storage, security (authentication, authorisation and networking), virtualisation concepts, load balancing and Proxy Servers
