We are currently looking for a Risk Solution Consultant to provide SAS consulting services including the design and implementation of SAS Risk solutions at customer sites.



You have the desire to go through a learning path to gain an in-depth knowledge of SAS Risk Solutions with the view of growing within your role to take on the responsibilities of a Solution Lead in the future. The Solution Lead acts as an expert, advising our customers on how to best apply SAS’ risk solutions to solve their business challenges.



Examples of applications areas for SAS Risk Solutions are credit risk (Credit Scoring, Regulatory Risk – Basel, IFRS9) and insurance risk (Solvency II, IFRS17). We conduct our projects in teams in close cooperation with our customers and partners, which makes this position suitable for a person who is academic and consultative, communicates well and enjoys working with other people.


Consultants are expected to have a broad and strong technical background, together with credible domain skills, and should excel at solving business problems by applying technology and best practice.

Location: This role will be based from our office in Stockholm, with travel to client’s sites, mainly around the Stockholm area. As we are part of a Nordic organization, some travel within the Nordics may occur.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with a technical lead, solution lead, project manager and other team members as part of a team of consultants (SAS or partners) with different specializations
  • Participating in customer workshops, gathering and documenting project requirements
  • Assisting in the scoping and defining of projected work effort and resource plans
  • Solution design, configuration, implementation and testing
  • Creating and reviewing documentation

From time to time you will also participate in pre-studies and pilot projects as well as solution demonstrations for potential customers.


Do you qualify?


  • Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative field (such as Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics or Statistics)
  • Domain expertise within Risk, by work experience and/or course work in risk management, financial mathematics and/or actuarial theory
  • Previous commercial experience in at least one of the following:
  • Consulting work within the banking/insurance industry
  • Software companies working with risk solutions
  • Risk, ETL or Business Intelligence work within banking or insurance
  • Programming (SAS or other relevant programming languages such as R or MatLab) and SQL skills
  • Some exposure to databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 Experience or Teradata
  • Good communication skills (Swedish and English) – both oral and written
