As an Information Systems Engineer, you will support day-to-day mission critical operations of SAS’ complex global network. The Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Operations team is responsible for maintaining operational stability of SAS’ global internal and hosting network infrastructures. The engineer performs incident management, proactive operations, implements basic requests/changes and documents team procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
- Investigation and management of global and hosting network related incidents.
- Proactive management of network infrastructure to help reduce reactive incidents.
- Fulfill network related request and change tickets.
- Produce and maintain current documentation for areas of responsibility.
Total Years of Experience:
6-12 years
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other quantitative degree
- 8 years' experience supporting enterprise networks
- 8 years' experience with TCP/IP and WAN/LAN networking
- Should be able to work in 24x7 shift & on-call environment
- Experience in any public cloud platform, preferably Azure or AWS
Preferences
- Experience with Arista and Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches
- Experience with Microsoft Azure networking
- Experience with F5 LTM/DNS load balancers
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
- Knowledge of EIGRP and BGP routing protocols
- Experience with networking for virtualized server environments
- Experience with Cisco and/or Aruba Wireless Networking
- Experience with Cisco ISE
- Experience with Cisco AnyConnect and/or Ivanti/PulseSecure Remote Access solutions
Equivalent Essential
- Associates degree in the same fields plus 5 years of stated essential qualifications ~ OR ~
- High school diploma (GED) plus 5 years of stated essential qualifications
