About the job

The Customer Advisory team is looking for a Customer Advisory Manager for Financial Services, you’ll lead a dynamic team of advisors and technical experts focused on our top clients in the Banking and Insurance sectors across DACH. Your mission? To inspire, innovate, and deliver exceptional advisory experiences that fuel digital transformation for our clients. We’re looking for a leader who brings an insatiable curiosity for customer needs, a drive to deliver results, and a passion for building trusted relationships.

 

In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our cutting-edge technology and the real-world challenges of our customers, helping them solve critical business issues with SAS’s flagship AI, data analytics, and cloud solutions, like SAS Viya. As a Customer Advisory Manager , you will:

  • Lead with Vision: Oversee a talented team of Pre-Sales professionals, guiding them to deliver tailored solutions that drive success for our clients in the Financial Services industry.
  • Drive Strategy: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and senior executives to set the strategic direction for the Banking and Insurance sectors, aligning efforts with SAS revenue goals.
  • Innovate & Execute: Collaborate on solution design, manage resource allocation, and execute strategies that open new opportunities and deepen customer relationships.
  • Build & Maintain Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor, building lasting partnerships with customers, understanding their unique needs, and delivering solutions that drive value.
  • Inspire & Grow the Team: Hire, develop, and mentor top pre-sales talent to create a high-performing, customer-obsessed advisory organization.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a background in Financial Services, ideally within Banking and/or Insurance.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or quantitative field.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Leadership & Vision: Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments, with a knack for balancing strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: You’re passionate about solving customer challenges and ensuring their success.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Strong communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams and knows how to build influence across organizations.
  • Analytical Skills: Familiarity with data analytics, AI, and cloud solutions—bonus points if you’ve worked with SAS products before!
