About the job

We’re looking for a new colleague for the role of Account Executive-Public Sector who has a solid sales experience in government sector. You will be responsible for sales of SAS software products, solutions and services in a complex industry sector.

 

You will:

  • Position SAS solutions and services to current and prospective customers; work with other sales/pre-sales/domain experts to manage the end to end customer relationship from acquiring, growing and retaining the relationship with customers within assigned territory.
  • Manage both independently and with the extended team the end-to-end relationship with the customers.
  • Develop territory and account management plans; identifies accounts with high "close" potential, qualifies, advances opportunity through milestone steps of sales cycle and forecast time frames to close business.
  • Work closely with pre-sales resources and executives to facilitate timely response to highly qualified, high revenue potential opportunities.
  • Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed; works with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.
  • Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Highly driven and results oriented individual, able to manage and stay focused during long sales cycles
  • Working experience with Government departments, ministries and utilities etc. 
  • Capability to hold relationships both at C-level but also mid-organizational level
  • Knowledge of advanced strategic sales techniques; knowledge of hardware and/or software acquisition cycles and buying influences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic selling skills, skills in analyzing and evaluating territory dynamics to develop and implement a sales plan.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to relate technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs; ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent English and Romanian speaking
