About the job
The Sales Government Mexico team is seeking a Senior Account Executive to spearhead government sales efforts for our solutions in Mexico. Your expertise in strategic sales, relationship building, revenue generation, and deal closure in government sectors is essential for our team's success. We leverage the power of analytics to enhance the lives of citizens in Mexico, and we need your skills to help turn this vision into reality
As a Sr Account Executive, you will:
- Sells software, solutions, and services to current and prospective government customers; works with other sales/pre-sales/domain/personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities to acquire, grow, and retain customers within assigned territory.
- Fulfills a wide range of requests for information from prospective customers. Qualifies level of opportunity and resources required.
- Prospects within a territory to uncover business needs based on government budget, public policies, or strategic plans in the organizations.
- Implements aspects of territory and account management and development; identifies accounts with high "close" potential, qualifies, advances opportunity through milestone steps of the sales cycle, and forecasts time frames to close business within Orion.
- Works closely with pre-sales resources, industry experts, product owners, marketing, and executives to facilitate timely responses to highly qualified, high-revenue potential opportunities.
- Prepares standard quotations and proposal information as needed; works with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.
- Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and discover additional revenue opportunities.
- Develop a basic understanding of company pricing, licensing procedures, and approvals matrix.
- Fully utilizes account planning process and tools (Account Plans and Opportunity Plans within BASE).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software and government / public sector sales.
- Strong English skills.
- Associate degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, MIS (Computer Sciences) or related field.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Good understanding of SaaS/subscription-based renewals models, application, and sales techniques.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Strong customer communication skills for renewal conflict resolution
