As a Senior Google Cloud Engineer - GKE, you will:

• Provide Kubernetes platform service design for large-scale deployments and workloads with a focus on GKE
• Design an operations model which allows resiliency and self-service for our business consumers
• Build security into every aspect of your design
• Assist with automation of GKE services
• Interface with the “customer” to gather functional level requirements for a solution. Works with customers to define the activities and challenges they face, to ensure the solution created solves their problems. Informs customers of current capabilities, what is possible, and what isn't.
• Assess complex technical problems and take ownership of projects with minimal guidance
• Learn every day, and expect technology to drive a new status-quo

Required Qualifications

• Google Cloud experience with at least
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting enterprise solutions/services.
  • 2+ years GKE Kubernetes administration – deploy and maintain GKE clusters at scale.

• 2+ years of experience in systems support and consulting.
• 3+ years of experience in Linux.
• GCP Certified

• Integration of GKE with other Google cloud services such as container registry and Google NetApp Volumes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Github Actions, Helm.
• In-depth experience in all major aspects of IT (servers/compute, network, storage).
• Experience using source control solutions like GitHub or GitLab.
• Ability to deep dive and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex networking problems
• Experience in system operations

Preferences

• Experience with performance analysis and design
• Experience developing cloud solutions with security-by-design
• Experience supporting zero trust architectures
• Strong python or Go programming skills
• Google Cloud Professional and/or Kubernetes Administrator certifications
• Experience with NetApp ONTAP filesystems, and familiarity with SAS Viya.
• Familiarity with automation through interaction with remote APIs (REST).
• Experience with LDAP, ADFS, SAML, or other Identity and Access Management Solutions.
• Experience with WAN technologies and how they interact with public cloud solutions.
