The Finance team is looking for a Controller to deliver accurate financial reporting, analysis, and controls that support SAS UK&I’s growth and operational excellence. Our team is a strong, established function at the heart of SAS UK&I, driving efficiency, effectiveness, and impact across financial operations in a dynamic, values-driven organization.

As a Controller, you will:
- Lead month-end closure for SAS UK and Ireland, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely reporting.
- Provide timely and accurate financial summaries, variance analysis, and decision support to senior management.
- Manage revenue recognition for all revenue streams in line with published rules and policies, ensuring transparency and compliance under US and local GAAP.
- Deliver group reporting and analysis to SAS HQ, supporting global initiatives and maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- Support statutory reporting and audits, including preparation of statutory accounts, coordination with external auditors, and filing returns to agreed timescales.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring robust financial control and policy frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including timely completion and submission of Corporation Tax and VAT returns.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of financial operations, challenging existing processes and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to optimize processes and meet critical deadlines.

Required qualifications
- Experience in Financial Accounting/Controlling
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
- Strong financial analysis capability and knowledge of UK VAT, Income & Corporation Tax regulations
- Good systems experience and awareness of latest developments in financial reporting and controls
- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

- Degree-level qualification in Finance or related field.
- Experience in audit or statutory account preparation.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
