Role Summary
We are seeking two experienced Oracle Developers to support a mission‑critical enterprise data platform that underpins revenue reporting, sales credit, analytics, and downstream integrations. These roles will focus on hands‑on development, data transformation, performance optimization, and operational support within an established Oracle/SAS ecosystem.
The ideal candidates are strong individual contributors who are comfortable working in complex, rules‑driven environments and partnering closely with senior engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Core Development & Data Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code supporting large‑scale data transformations and reporting pipelines.
- Build and enhance views, packages, procedures, and data validation logic aligned with business rules and audit requirements.
- Assist with schema evolution, table refactoring, and controlled deprecation of legacy objects.
Data Quality, Stability & Audit Support
- Support data integrity, reconciliation, and historical traceability requirements.
- Diagnose and remediate data quality issues surfaced by downstream consumers (Finance, Sales Ops, Analytics).
- Participate in audit support, documentation, and reproducibility of historical results.
Integration & Upstream Change Management
- Adapt Oracle logic to upstream data changes from platforms such as PDH, EDW, and third‑party data sources (e.g., D&B).
- Help implement defensive logic and validation when upstream data is incomplete or inconsistent.
- Partner with senior team members to stabilize integrations during release cycles.
Production & Release Support
- Support monthly release activities, including validation, troubleshooting, and post‑deployment fixes.
- Investigate job failures, performance issues, and production defects.
- Contribute to operational improvements to reduce rework and technical debt.
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in:
- Oracle SQL and VSCode
- Complex joins, analytic functions, and performance tuning
- Packages, procedures, functions, and views
- Designing, supporting, and optimizing relational databases ( preferably Oracle, SQL Server, or Exadata)
- Experience working with large, complex relational datasets
- Ability to understand and implement business rules embedded in data logic
- Experience supporting production data environments with regular release cycles
- Clear communication skills and comfort collaborating with cross‑functional teams
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
- Experience working alongside SAS‑based data processing or analytics platforms
- Experience with Java JPA, Entity-relationships, and Mapping annotations,
- Exposure to:
- Revenue, pipeline, sales credit, or financial reporting data
- Audit or compliance‑driven data environments
- Familiarity with:
- Git/GitHub or source control best practices
- Data lineage, historical tracking, or slowly changing dimensions
- Experience refactoring or modernizing legacy Oracle codebases
- Experience with AI Chats and agents ( ex. copilot)
- Experience with LLM's ( ex. Gemini, Grok, Claude, ChatGPT)
- Experience with MCP's from Oracle, Atlassian, GitHub, etc.
