About the job

The Global Inside Sales Division is looking for an Inside Sales Manager to lead the AP Inside Sales team.   

 

As an Inside Sales Manager, you will:

 

  • Plan and implement growth plans for new software sales working in conjunction with the goals of the sales organization within the business unit.
  • Be responsible for achievement of new software sales, renewals and services revenue targets
  • May be assigned an individual sales territory and supervises inside sales support staff.
  • Manage the training of sales department staff; provides leadership and direction on sales mission and account management practices; establishes and communicates departmental goals; facilitates individual goals and objectives.
  • Set and review performance metrics and sales goals for inside sales staff.
  • Assist inside sales representatives to meet goals in day-to-day performance, activity metrics, sales, and increased product knowledge.
  • Handle management responsibilities including hiring, training, delegating work assignments, reviewing performance, mentoring, coaching and giving feedback.
  • Determine equitable sales assignments and/or territories and sets targets appropriately with input from senior sales management.
  • Manage training the inside sales representatives on territory account management, lead management forecasting revenue expectations.
  • Work with other department managers to develop training, sales plays, campaigns and positioning of products and services.
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

 

  • Requires two years in a leadership, supervisory or team lead role.
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or quantitative field.
  • Typically requires eight years of experience in technical sales, marketing, data processing, or technology-related products or services sales.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

 

Additional competencies, knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of strategic sales techniques and principles specifically in the hardware and software industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of at least three industries and/or market segments.
  • Strong skills in the following areas: problem solving, interpersonal interactions, team building, leadership, strategic and conceptual sales, communication, and detail orientation.
  • Aligning and Executing Sales Strategy - Establishing a plan to achieve the unit’s sales objectives, taking into consideration overall business and sales goals, market opportunities, past sales results, and available resources; reviewing progress and adjusting the plan as needed.
  • Coaching the Sales Team - Diagnosing areas for improving salespersons’ techniques; providing timely feedback, instruction, and guidance to strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas and optimize sales successes.
  • Driving For Results - Setting high goals for personal and group accomplishment; using measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement.
  • Motivating the Sales Team - Continuously raising expectations of team performance; motivating and supporting team efforts to achieve goals while upholding organizational values and standards; tracking progress toward goals.

 

Work Location: The position is open to work in the APAC region.
