About the job

This role is part of our near-shore delivery hub, supporting project execution for clients based in the Americas. As a Project Manager, you will own end-to-end project delivery - managing scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder relationships - operating entirely in English and within North American business hours (ET), when needed. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across both LATAM and North America.

Responsible for all aspects of project management: the direction, planning and budgeting, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of specific projects while ensuring consistency with SAS’ overall strategy, commitments, and goals.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end project delivery: Develop and maintain  sdetailed project plans, track milestones, manage risks, and report status to stakeholders.
  • Lead and/- or coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and people management.
  • Communicate proactively and regularly on project status – achievement of project goals, quality, schedule, cost, etc.
  • Monitor performance and make actionable recommendations on schedule updates, cost adjustments and resource needs.
  • Provide clear  direction and support to project teams to ensure delivery against  agreed upon goals, objectives, and deadlines.
  • Assemble, onboard and coordinates projects
  • Present progress reports to all stakeholders – including executive-level customer stakeholders – clearly articulating progress, risks, issues and mitigation plans.
  • Successfully establish and maintain trusted  relationships with the client and all stakeholders.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • May function as lead on execution of one or more established department processes, including process improvement initiatives.
  • Owns budget management on assigned projects.
  • Identify and recommend  processes, procedures, and tooling improvements to drive efficiency, customer service, quality and/or cost savings.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English — capable of running client-facing meetings, drafting executive reports, and managing difficult conversations and escalations entirely in English
  • Ability to lead and influence project teams and gain consensus
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities without losing quality.
  • Excellent knowledge and competence in related business functional area
  • Strong financial acumen: budget management, cost tracking, variance analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English – capable of running client-facing meetings, drafting executive reports, and managing difficult conversations entirely in English
  • Ability to analyze solutions for the project
  • Ability to manage budgeting process and analyze budget performance
  • Ability to design and support improvement processes
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to give attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to travel, including ability to obtain travel visa to the US,, as needed

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, Engineering (preferred), Business, Marketing, Accounting or related field.

 

Experience:

  • Typically requires a minimum of five years of end-to-end project management experience, including full ownership of scope, schedule, budget and stakeholder management.
  • Experience managing projects in North America is strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) is strongly preferred. Candidates with equivalent demonstrated experience will be considered.

 

Language requirement: 

  • Advanced / Business-level English fluency is required. This role is expected to operate entirely in English with US and Canada based customers – all project communications, status reports, meetings, presentations would be conducted in English
