About the job

The Public Sector team is seeking a dynamic individual with high energy and drive to join our team as a Senior Solutions Sales Specialist focusing on the full SAS portfolio in Law Enforcement. The Solutions Sales Specialist develops new opportunities and partners with Account Executives to sell complex solutions and services to prospective and current customers in the Public Sector. The Solutions Sales Specialist will provide in-depth product, solutions and industry expertise to identify, develop and close deals within the assigned territory. 

 

  • Develop and execute business development plan for SAS Law Enforcement solutions portfolio to generate revenue in line with current organization and individual targets, efforts including but not limited to uncovering business needs, initiating/ supporting GTM activities, helping integrate and implement solutions strategies into an overall account plan. 
  • Generate/ qualify opportunities and identify resources required. Lead opportunity pursuits by managing and influencing requirements to gain competitive edge. Create and present sales proposals to successfully communicate the value of the company’s products and services at senior level.  
  • Collaborate with pre-sales resources, account managers, and executives to ensure timely responses to qualified, high-revenue leads and strategic account development.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts, working cross-functionally to finalize agreements and set delivery schedules.
  • Advance opportunity through milestone steps of sales cycle and forecast timeframes to close business. 
  • Facilitate closure of complex sales. Assist with pricing negotiations and licensing questions. Engage with enterprise negotiations and licensing operations on price negotiations and licensing questions. 
  • Post-close, transition customer to Professional Services for design/deployment. Track customer satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities.
  • Jointly define success with customers by understanding the business problems customers are trying to solve to best manage the adoption of the software and exceed customer expectations.
  • Help Product Management and/or Research and Development by providing information for future product direction as needed. 
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

  • Well-versed with government bidding cycle, sales process and buying influences related to national security forces in India, such as key government branches operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
  • Experience in cloud companies and a background in selling analytics solutions to government organizations will be preferred.
  • Ability to drive meaningful conversations with potential and existing clients based on strong product and services knowledge related to Central Government ministries.
  • Solid understanding of the competitive landscape, market pricing strategy and how to penetrate into new customers.
  • Proven experience in selling software, solutions and services to current and prospective customers; ability to drive the opportunity independently and manage all internal & external stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop sales plans; work independently as well as effectively in a team environment; and travel as needed to support business activities.
  • Expert skills in relating technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs and communicating them with clarity to different stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Business, Marketing, MIS, or other relevant discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
