Role Purpose

 

Lead and grow the Risk Management Solutions practice across APAC, driving delivery excellence, financial performance, and client value. Act as the regional domain expert, ensuring scalable, high-quality solutions aligned to customer needs, regulatory demands, and business growth objectives.

This role reports to the VP of Consulting for the region. It partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders across consulting, engineering, sales, business development, and customer success.

You will be leading a distributed team of ~70 people (FTE and contractors) including direct and matrix resources. The position carries accountability for approximately USD $20M in annual services revenue, with direct responsibility for delivery margins, utilization, and overall financial performance.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of Risk projects across APAC, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution and contractual compliance.
  • Act as the regional escalation point for delivery, financial, and customer issues, driving timely resolution.
  • Establish strong delivery governance, including risk management, recovery actions, and standardized delivery models.
  • Drive regional financial performance, including realization, margin, utilization, and overall P&L accountability.
  • Optimize resource strategy (mix, pyramid, partners) to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost outcomes.
  • Serve as APAC domain lead for Risk solutions, ensuring alignment with SAS offerings and regulatory requirements.
  • Build trusted executive relationships with clients and regulators, ensuring strong engagement and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional team through hiring, capability building, and clear performance expectations.
  • Support business growth by shaping deals, enabling delivery readiness, and expanding existing client engagements.
  • Align APAC Risk practices with global standards, contributing to continuous improvement and solution evolution.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master/ Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification on Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Professional Risk Manager (PRM) is preferred
  • Minimum 12-15 years’ experience with track record in leading risk management functions in a consulting or corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Extensive understanding of SAS Risk solutions, Quantitative finance, RQS solutions
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards in risk management.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
