About the Role

Government agencies are facing increasingly complex fraud, financial crime and investigation challenges — from scams and identity abuse to suspicious transactions, organised networks and misuse of public funds.

We are looking for a Business Solutions Manager – Fraud, AML & Financial Crime to help government customers in Singapore and selected regional accounts tackle these challenges with SAS.

This is a hands-on presales role at the intersection of fraud, financial crime, enterprise technology, data, analytics, AI, Generative AI, LLMs and real-time decisioning.

You will own the solution side of complex opportunities — understanding the mission and problem, shaping the architecture, building the proof, addressing technical requirements and helping customers move from ideas to practical solutions.

You will work directly with fraud and investigation teams, compliance and risk leaders, data scientists, architects, technology executives and senior government stakeholders.

Prior SAS experience is not required. We are looking for strong technology fundamentals, customer credibility, practical problem-solving and the confidence to take ownership.

Why Join This Role

  • Work on high-impact fraud, financial-crime and investigation challenges that matter to government and society.
  • Own the solution engagement, not just the demo.
  • Combine public-sector problem solving with hands-on technical work.
  • Build deep expertise across fraud analytics, AML, investigation, decisioning, AI and enterprise architecture.
  • Work directly with senior business, policy and technology leaders.
  • Help shape how GenAI and LLMs are applied to real government use cases.

What You’ll Do

Discover and Shape

  • Understand customer missions, fraud and financial-crime risks, current controls, processes, data and technology environments.
  • Lead discussions across investigation, compliance, risk, operations, data science, architecture and technology teams.
  • Turn customer needs into practical solution concepts and architectures.
  • Shape the technical strategy with Account Executives and identify risks, objections and opportunities to differentiate SAS.

Build and Prove

  • Build and customise demonstrations, prototypes and proof-of-concepts around realistic government fraud and investigation scenarios.
  • Work hands-on with data, SQL, APIs, Python, analytics tools and other technologies where needed.
  • Design how SAS fits into case-management systems, transaction platforms, data environments, digital services and investigation workflows.
  • Explore practical uses of GenAI and LLMs in areas such as investigation, summarisation, knowledge retrieval and analyst support.
  • Work through integration, security, scalability, resilience and deployment requirements.

Communicate and Win

  • Present clearly to business, technical and executive audiences.
  • Lead workshops, whiteboarding sessions, technical discussions and demonstrations.
  • Connect technology to outcomes such as reduced fraud losses, better detection, stronger compliance, faster investigations and improved operational efficiency.
  • Support proposals, RFPs, tenders and technical evaluations.
  • Coordinate with product, services, partners and specialists while remaining accountable for the overall solution.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines technology capability, customer presence, business understanding and hands-on problem-solving.

Relevant backgrounds may include technical presales, solution consulting, solution architecture, technical consulting, systems integration, enterprise software, fraud technology, government technology, AML, banking, payments, compliance or risk.

You should be able to:

  • Understand complex enterprise and government technology environments.
  • Lead both business and technical discovery.
  • Turn unclear customer problems into practical solutions.
  • Build or customise demos and proof-of-concepts.
  • Present and whiteboard confidently.
  • Work closely with sales and other teams.
  • Operate independently and take ownership.
  • Know when to solve something yourself and when to bring in deeper expertise.

Technology and Domain Experience

Strong enterprise technology fundamentals are important. Experience with some of the following is valuable:

  • SQL, APIs, REST, JSON and Python
  • Real-time or event-driven systems
  • Cloud, containers and Kubernetes
  • Security, scalability and high availability
  • Analytics and machine learning
  • Generative AI, LLMs, RAG or related AI concepts

Experience in government fraud, financial crime, scams, AML, identity, compliance, investigations or adjacent risk areas is highly valuable, including:

  • Scam and mule-network detection
  • Identity and application fraud
  • Benefits, grants, tax or procurement fraud
  • Suspicious transaction monitoring
  • AML and financial-crime investigation
  • Behavioural or network analytics
  • Real-time decisioning
  • Alert and case management
  • Intelligence-led investigation

You do not need expertise in every area. We welcome strong fraud or investigation practitioners with solid technology foundations, as well as technically strong solution consultants who can deepen their government and financial-crime expertise.

What Success Looks Like

You become the person customers and sales teams want in the room when the fraud, investigation or financial-crime problem gets difficult.

You can independently take an opportunity from discovery through architecture, demonstration and technical validation.

You are credible with architects and engineers while remaining clear and relevant to investigators, compliance leaders and senior government stakeholders.

Your demos and POCs answer real customer questions and help move opportunities forward.

If you enjoy solving difficult public-sector problems, working across technology and business, and want to build deep expertise in fraud, financial crime and decisioning, we would like to hear from you.

You are welcome here
