Technical Consultant – Fraud & Security Intelligence
About the Role
Help leading financial institutions across Asia Pacific solve complex Fraud and Financial Crime challenges through innovative analytics, AI, and enterprise technology.
As a Technical Consultant within SAS's Fraud & Security Intelligence practice, you'll work directly with customers to understand their business challenges, lead discovery workshops, design enterprise solutions, and deliver successful transformation programmes across the region.
This role offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise with business consulting while building trusted customer relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Lead customer workshops to understand business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Design, implement, and optimize Fraud, Financial Crime, and Compliance solutions that address customer business and regulatory requirements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solution designs and implementation approaches.
- Deliver end-to-end solution implementation, from requirements analysis and solution configuration through testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Lead technical workstreams and collaborate with customer business and technology teams to solve complex implementation challenges.
- Build trusted customer relationships by providing technical leadership and consulting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop reusable delivery assets, best practices, and innovative approaches that improve delivery quality and efficiency.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth of the regional consulting practice.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 4–8 years of consulting, enterprise software implementation, or solution delivery experience. Strong candidates with slightly less experience may also be considered.
- Experience delivering enterprise Fraud, Financial Crime, or Compliance solutions within Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Payments organizations.
- Experience leading technical workstreams and working directly with customers, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within regional and global delivery teams.
- Willingness to travel across Asia Pacific as required.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Experience implementing enterprise Fraud, Financial Crime, or Compliance solutions.
- Experience with Financial Crime platforms such as SAS, NICE Actimize, Oracle FCCM, FICO, Quantexa, Symphony AI NetReveal, or equivalent enterprise solutions.
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, Linux/Unix, ETL, APIs, cloud technologies (including Kubernetes), and enterprise application integration.
- Understanding of Fraud and Financial Crime domains including Payment Fraud, Card Fraud, Digital Banking Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, Customer Due Diligence (CDD/KYC), and Financial Crime Investigations.
