The Advisor will provide advice on the implementation of risk solutions and work closely with team members to assess clients’ business needs relative to the deployment, customization, and implementation of SAS risk solutions. Additionally, the Advisor will advise clients on data provisioning, analytics, and reporting frameworks. The candidate will also work on product content creation, support proof of concept efforts, perform implementation training, and in general enable SAS consultants and partners globally. And the Advisor will work with other SAS business units and customers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.   Primary Responsibilities - Participate in functional and analytical assessments to understand solution requirements for risk and finance frameworks. - Conduct customer sessions for requirements gathering, data discovery, analysis, reporting, and presentation. - Provide statistical and/or analytical consulting services for SAS Risk customer engagements. - Provide advisory support and quality assurance on implementations done by internal and external delivery partners - Interact with clients to assess the functional and operational business needs of Risk and Financial services engagements - Participate in developing Proof of Concepts, Demos, and other technical assets in the context of customer engagements - Assist in the estimation and development of the scopes for consulting projects. - Teach best practices on system implementation and to risk consulting teams globally No / limited domestic and international travel as business demands   Technology - SAS Risk Solutions: Expected Credit Loss (IFRS9, CECL), IFRS17, Regulatory Risk Management, and other emerging solutions - SAS Risk Tools: Model Implementation Platform, High-Performance Risk Engine, Infrastructure for Risk Management, Risk Governance Framework - SAS Technologies: SAS Programming, Visual Analytics - Other Skills: XML, SQL programming - Implementation/Upgrade/Support of SAS Risk Solutions   Domain Skills: - Experience with risk modelling esp. CECL and loss forecasting models - Expertise in regulatory compliance guidelines such as CCAR, DFAST, Basel II/III, Dodd-Frank, Solvency II - Additional risk domain knowledge considered valuable – market risk, credit risk, enterprise risk, and/or operational risk. Finance experience a plus   Technology Skills: - Experience working with Model Implementation Platform, High-Performance Risk Engine - Experience working with the risk implementation team in the financial services industry with a specific focus on risk management applications and consulting services - Exposure to Cloud and SAS Viya   Behavioural Skills: - Must be a passionately curious, dedicated life-long learner with an analytical mind, strong communication skills to convey the analytical concepts to a non-analytical audience, and an accountable problem-solving disposition - Ability to communicate with and instruct people with various technical backgrounds, think analytically, write, and edit technical material, and relate statistical concepts and applications to statistical and non-statistical SAS users. - Deep knowledge of SAS analytical offerings and putting code into production systems   Educational Qualification: - Mandatory: Bachelors in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or another quantitative field preferred Optional: - MS in Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Accounting, or another quantitative field - Globally recognized risk certifications such as FRM, CFA, etc.
