What You’ll Do:
As a Cloud Systems Administrator for the Managed Application Services (MAS) team in SAS’s Cloud and Information Services (CIS) division, you will be responsible for all aspects of our hosted and remote managed SAS application environments, that includes –
- Working collaboratively with customers, analysts, developers and implementation team members to manage, diagnose, debug, design, and prototype SAS and third-party enterprise class software systems, to deliver world class SAS service.
- Drive customer satisfaction & ensure service quality across all our hosted and remote managed customer environments.
- Working with global R&D, Product, Technical Support, and CIS teams to drive customer satisfaction and ensure a keen eye for continuous improvement, quality, efficiency, and automation with a passion to drive it in all aspects of the job.
- Use IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management to meet and support Service Level Agreement requirements SAS Cloud customers.
Key responsibilities
To take responsibility for:
- Managing the administration, maintenance, and installation of SAS Enterprise software and solutions.
- Provide pre- and post-implementation documentation.
- Engineer solutions to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Integrate SAS software with systems and other third-party software.
- Engineer application implementations based on requirements and sizing assessments.
- Configure, manage, monitor and debug mid-tier software such as tcServer, JBoss, etc.
- Ensure SAS Cloud standards and best practices are adhered to and validated.
- Monitor, Diagnose, document, report, and resolve system problems raised by the customers and internal stakeholders.
- Work directly with external customers and interface with other support teams and vendors.
- Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.

Expected Experience and Background
This role is based of Japan & the candidate is required to have proficiency in Japanese language to converse with our Japanese-speaking clients, fostering strong rapport & relationship, and;
2+ years of technical experience including at least 3 of the 4 below:
- 1+ years of experience Enterprise Platform Support
- 1+ years of experience in systems support, user support, customer support, consulting, or training for enterprise class software and/or hardware.
- 1+ years of experience with UNIX or Linux supporting enterprise class applications. (Strongly preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in Cloud implementation/migration projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Azure is preferred, while experience with other leading cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience on ITSM tools like JIRA, ServiceNow etc.
- ITIL certification preferred.
- Python and Ansible for automation.
- Kubernetes.
- Scripting experience (bash, powershell, etc).
- Installing and using SAS software and solutions.
- Programming in SAS.
- Developing, deploying and managing JavaEE web applications.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of security, performance, server design, cross-platform architectures, SAS products, SAS solutions, storage, networking, and enterprise hardware.

What You’ll Do:
- Champions and advocates for the customer experience (voice of the customer).
- Provides real-time and on-demand management of assigned enterprise accounts to ensure customers can meet their business goals by leveraging SAS technologies and managed application services.
- Builds Customer Success Plans based on customer defined business outcomes, quantifying the customer business benefits and/or outcomes associated with the use of SAS software and managed application services.

- Proactively provides attention and escalation for urgent issues or concerns during the customer lifecycle with SAS.
- Provides expertise in ITIL processes to manage customer service delivery and support.

- Manages customer budgets, ensuring profitability.

Required Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese and business-level English

What You’ll Do:

- Use IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management to meet and support Service Level Agreement requirements SAS Cloud customers; ITIL certification preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, as this role involves extensive interaction with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, including the capacity to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely, are crucial for effective collaboration and successful project delivery.

What you’ll do
As part of the SAS Federal Government Sales team, the role works with clients to:
- Sell software, solutions and services to current and prospective customers; works with other sales/pre-sales/domain/personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers within the Federal Government territory.

As a Cloud Technical Lead for the SAS Cloud team in SAS’s Cloud and Information Services (CIS) division, you will be responsible for all aspects of our hosted and remote managed SAS application environments. You will work collaboratively with customers, analysts, developers, and implementation team members to deliver world class SAS service.
You will leverage your deep technical skillset and knowledge to provide technical leadership, guidance, and support for customer engagements through implementation and configuration to production release into operations. These projects will include creating and planning marketing programmes and campaigns and full execution; from administrative processes to asset development, from creative development to social media and so much more.
We work with a fully integrated marketing team with expertise in digital, content, marketing science, creative production and business development. As part of the GTM team, you will work closely across the wider marketing team to drive results from your marketing programmes. All our campaigns are monitored for results and their impact on SAS revenue.
The Marketing team works as one team and are here to fully support each other and you, but we will look to you to also take responsibility for projects from start to finish and own it – with guidance of course,from the senior members of the team. We are open to new ideas and testing the market in new ways, so a fresh and curious mind will be welcomed and will fit well within the SAS Marketing culture.

Opportunity
Within our EMEA/ APAC-wide Internship Program CareerStart@sas we’re offering a 6-month full-time internship in our Marketing department.
The role will start an exciting learning journey in Digital Marketing – including analytical thinking, global programs and their local amplification, curious research and courageous new ideas.
You will join our marketing team in planning, coordinating and executing SAS’s digital strategy in a wide variety of digital projects (web, search, email, campaigns, advertising, etc.), delivering strategic guidance to internal stakeholders, and collaborating with many departments across the company to help them leverage the digital channel to meet company goals.

Required qualifications:

- Target majors include all the business oriented faculties. Marketing studies preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of sales and marketing concepts/processes related to area of assignment
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts/ functions and software tools (Word, PowerPoint, HTML, Adobe products, and/or SharePoint, web content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager, etc.)
- Fluent in French language, plus English.
